His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al-Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah set the vision for the hospital as a state of the art teaching hospital with eminent
clinicians working in a modern environment with a high degree of Information & Communications Technology support for clinical practice. This approach also enables the teaching of medical and allied health professionals in an environment which will equip them for a future career in which digital technology will play a major role in supporting clinicians. Sharjah Teaching Hospital
	Sharjah Teaching Hospital is a private, not-for-profit 210-bed hospital located alongside the Medical School at Sharjah University in the emirate of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The hospital was established by HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi with the objective of providing state-of-the-art, world standard healthcare in the fields of Obstetrics/Gyanaecology;
Medical and Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Surgical Services and Emergency Department services to the Sharjah community.The hospital employs approximately 770 employees and has an anticipated turnover of Dhs.200million per year. Sharjah Teaching Hospital is strongly affiliated with the tertiary sector via the Medical School at Sharjah University which has a relationship with the Faculty of Medicine at Monash University in Melbourne Australia, and the dental degree course based on the University of Adelaide curriculum.

• Comprehensive laboratory services including haematology, cytology, biochemistry, anatomical pathology and microbiology

Dental Services 

Located within the Sharjah Teaching Hospital complex, the Dental Service is located in a free standing 114 chair state of the art facility providing a vast range of dental care to the community of Sharjah and beyond.

Dental care will, in the main, be free of charge with services provided by advanced dental students under the close supervision of qualified dental professionals.  There will also be “fee for service” treatment available for those persons choosing to be treated privately by their preferred dentist or dental specialist.

The Dental Service will provide urgent treatment services in association with other hospital services and this will be particularly important in the treatment of complex facial and jaw reconstructive surgery.

The Dental Service represents a most significant asset to the community of Sharjah and will make a most positive contribution to the dental health of our population.
