REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer POSITION SUMMARY: Provides administrative, marketing and clinical direction for the staff of the Heart Center (Cardiology Clinic, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Non-invasive Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Inpatient Cardiology Nurse and Interventional Cardiology). Ensures that the provision of Cardiac Patients Care under this department is efficient, cost effective, and consistent with the established protocols, evidence-based medicine, accreditation standards, and Hospital Policy and Procedure. Responsible for the institution and maintenance of Quality Improvement Programs for all aspects of the Center to ensure a high quality of patient care. Actively participates in the direct provision of patient care as needed. POSITION QUALIFICATION: Educational Requirements: Graduate from a reputed nursing school or allied Health Program (Minimum 3 years diploma). Post Graduate Degree in Business/Management/Advanced Clinical Speciality Certification in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in Cardiac Patients Care (outpatient and inpatient exposure). Minimum of five years experience in a hospital leadership or managerial position. Evidence of continuing education. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
