Clinic Manager

7 Clinic Managers are needed for the SEHA Ambulatory Healthcare Services

SEHA (“health” in Arabic) is the corporate identity of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (ADHSC) established by the Emiri Decree No. 10 published in the early part of 2007.  SEHA succeeds the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD) as operator of the public hospitals and clinics in the Emirate.  SEHA is an independent corporate body which is charged with developing and managing the public healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi.

Job Profile

Purpose

Strategic and operational leadership of The Ambulatory Healthcare Centre. 
To maximise the operational performance of the assigned facility whilst also maintaining high quality service standards.
To participate in the business development of the clinic in line with SEHA strategies and policies.

Context

The Ambulatory Healthcare Services Division is part of SEHA (General Healthcare Services).  The division is responsible for the development and management of all ambulatory healthcare services (ie. Primary Healthcare Clinics, Specialty Centers) within the Emirates of Abu Dhabi. 

Area of Responsibility

Professional, clinical, operational, legal and ethical management of the Ambulatory Healthcare Center.
The management of the clinic operations team
Close liaison with other AHCs and PHCs.
Networking with SEHA corporate functions to gain expert input into the clinic’s operations
Represent the clinic to its external customers, including consultants, patients, GPs, insurance companies and other external customers and the local community
Business and strategic development for the clinic  in line with SEHA practice

Hematology (Complete Blood Count, Coagulation Studies, Blood Typing, Others)

Diagnostic Digital X-ray

NEED TO DO

Key Outputs

The achievement of the clinic’s operational objectives on an annual basis
The development of and implementation of local management practices, which will enhance the clinic’s  performance and ensure they are in line with SEHA  policy
Meet reporting requirements of SEHA
Set operational objectives to ensure clinic’s activities are delivered on time and to an agreed standard
Institute corrective actions when necessary
Set high personal and professional standards in line with SEHA’s Code of Conduct
Ongoing benchmarking of competitive private and hospital service practice
Develop and maintain good working relationships with other SEHA clinics and hospitals

Marketing

Develop excellent relations with consultants and other medical users
Coordination of local marketing of the clinics and its services, monitoring of market conditions, competitors and trends
Proactive responses to the challenges of the market
A positive and proactive relationship with external customers (including consultants, patients, insurance companies), which leads to the development of business
Ensure maintenance  of excellent reputation for the clinics in the local areas  as a healthcare provider, an employer and as an important component of the local community

Human Resource

The appropriate management and motivation of employees to develop an effective team through good practice
Coordinate recruitment, development, motivation, reward and retention of high quality staff

Quality/Risk Management

Compliance with SEHA and HAAD policies and legislative requirements (eg. financial, health and safety, clinical, human resources, clinical governance etc)
Maintain outstanding standards of quality at the clinics by upholding good clinical and quality risk management practice
Continued attainment of relevant accreditation/registration
Relationships

Line Manager (Clinic Operations Manager, Ambulatory Healthcare Services), performance review, regular contact
Line reports (clinic staff), regular operational meetings plus informal contact for business update purposes, plus development of team work
SEHA management teams
External business customers, regular and creative interaction
