| Director Business Development Basic Requirements: This is leadership position requires an individual with deep industry knowledge, experience in complex selling environments and proven results growing and penetrating account relationships. § Minimum of a Bachelor's degree MBA preferred) in marketing, sales, business, finance, economics or related field. § 5-10+ years post-MBA experience § Superior strategy and financial skills § Strong leadership capabilities § Partnership development (including negotiation) capabilities; § Deep understanding of sales cycle and previous experience in a sales position § Self-motivated with ability to work in an unstructured environment (strong operational mindset, decisive, with a "get it done" and “whatever it takes” mentality) § Strong analytical skills (experience building, evaluating and clearly presenting complex business models is critical) § Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence others without formal authority § Excellent written and oral communications skills § Strong communications skills; must enjoy and be able to confidently present to physician groups § Strong starter, extremely entrepreneurial, highly motivated, and balanced in their ability to think and act tactically and strategically § English language essential, Arabic language an advantage § Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment § Capability of working independently and to tight deadlines § Willingness to travel within the GCC (the position will require approximately 20-40% travel). In addition to the above requirements the following are advantages: § Technical undergraduate degree; with Medical Laboratory testing experience; § Strong, pre-existing contacts within the healthcare provider industry along with well develop leads and relationships; § Experience in a start-up or entrepreneurial environment. This reference laboratory is a new and exciting venture that is set to create a whole new concept of laboratory service for the UAE and the Middle East. Managed by Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp),one of the world’s largest and most experienced clinical laboratory operators, it offers its employees the opportunity to work in a fully automated, state-of-the-art reference laboratory, where high staff morale and quality service delivery set the standard. While the first stage of development has recently opened in Dubai, the second larger laboratory is already on the drawing board and set to open, in Abu Dhabi early 2011. Upon completion of the Abu Dhabi laboratory, it will expand its capacity to offer a full range of reference laboratory services, reversing the trend of international send-outs and significantly enhancing the region’s healthcare infrastructure.
